Let's talk about Hanging Signs, Projecting Signs & Blade Signs.
Often called Hanging Signs, Double Sided Signs, Projecting Signs or Blade Signs. They are all the name for projecting signs. However, hanging signs hang from a wall bracket, whereas 'blade signs' and 'projecting signs' are mounted at a right angle to the wall.
These type of projecting sign are often called light boxes, these signs are fitted with LEDs. They are great as they illuminate at night and can help you really stand out on a busy high street.
This really depends on the material you are fixing too. Generally projecting signs and hanging signs are fixed to either brick or concrete. In this case 'Anchor bolts' or 'Resin Anchors' are a popular choice.
A projecting sign should be positioned centrally on a column or pilaster and be at the fascia level. It should at a minimum height of 2.5m from the pavement to the underside and be 1m minimum in width from the outer side to the kerb line. The sign must also not project more than 1 metre from the wall.
In the UK no more than one per business/shop is generally permitted.
UK government planning guidelines say that the size must not exceed 0.75m2.
Yes, we can print or cut your design/logo on to vinyl and apply it to all our projecting signs.
Yes, you can choose from hundreds of colours! Please choose this colour option if you would like to personalise the projecting sign to suit your brand or design. Simply add this option to your basket.
After lots or research, we have found 500mm (20") x 500mm (20") to be the optimum size and shape to suit must brands/logos. It's also not so big that you might upset council planners. Our range of projecting signs and hanging signs meets the current UK government guidelines, however if you are in a heritage or conservation area they may have extra restrictions, in which case you should speak to your local planning office first.
